Today, I took a drive on the latest Ring Road in Uyo – Ring Road 3 Extension which runs from Stadium Road by Idoro Road to Ikot Adaidem village in Ibiono Ibom LGA on Ikot Ekpene Road – a distance of about 10 km.
It’s a wide highway, three lanes on each side, and well built by Hensek, our own Julius Berger!
So, if you are going to Ikot Ekpene from Oron, Abak, Etinan, Eket, Ikot Abasi and some parts of Uyo, you do not have to get to Itam Junction.
This should help in decongestion of the heart of the city.
Gov. Eno has therefore joined his three predecessors in adding to the concentric rings of highways encircling the city.
With this, travel time to Ik is considerably reduced and large portions of Uyo and Ibiono Ibom LGAs are opened up for further urbanization.
