The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, said its operatives at the Uyo Zonal Directorate have arrested three persons for alleged Internet fraud.
The EFCC’s Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, in a release on Wednesday said the suspects are currently being held at the holding facility of the commission in Uyo
He said the suspects were arrested on Wednesday during an early morning sting operation at Mbierebe, Stadium Road, Akpasak Estate, and Oron Road, all in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Oyewale explained that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigations.
He added, ‘Items recovered from them include: 4 mobile phones, a desktop computer, a laptop and 2 cars.
“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.”
